Inmarsat Terminals/Services currently available Inmarsat A - provides telephone, telex, data and fax, distress and safety communications services to the shipping and offshore industries. Inmarsat B (BT's B-Sat) - one of the most recent systems: designed to provide similar services to Inmarsat A, but using digital transmission techniques. Inmarsat C (BT's C-Sat) - a digital store and forward data-messaging service for maritime and landbased users. Inmarsat M (BT's M-Sat) - mobile direct-dial telephone service providing voice and fax communications with lighter and smaller equipment than for Inmarsat-A and B-Sat services, and therefore ideal for yachts. BT's Skyphone service - satellite communications to and from aircraft. Globetrack - connected to C-Sat and with integrated Global Positioning System for tracking and messaging via satellite. C-Club - using Inmarsat C for communicating around the world via e-mail or fax on land or sea.
