Weather Forecast issued by the Meteorological Office at 0730 Tuesday 10th December: A large anticyclone centred near
40S 90W will remain slow moving for the next few days. This anticyclone, combined with a series of depressions moving
eastwards to the south of latitude 60S, will maintain strong to gale force winds across the expected route. Winds should be
mainly between North and Northwest, but with marked variations during the passage of active troughs.
