Three Day Weather Forecast issued by the Meteorological Office at 0800 UTC on Sunday 16th March 1997.
Strong, westerly winds are expected to persist thoughout the forecast period as an area of low pressure moves from west to
east to lie near 60S 90E by noon on Monday before turning southeast on Tuesday. Strong to gale-force winds and large seas
will be associated with the passage of this depression. An area of high pressure developing ot the north of the region together
with a new, east moving, low will create a strong gradient over the route bringing further high winds and large seas.
