Three day forecast issued by The Meteorological Office at 0700 GMT on Tuesday 26th March 1997. A band of high pressure
will persist to the N of the route between 30S and 40S. Meanwhile a string of depressions will continue to move rapidly
eastwards between 50S and 60S, separated by weak ridges. This morning's charts indicate a more substantial ridge over the
area on Sunday, providing a day of lighter winds and fine weather.
The yachts are currently rounding the waypoint to the NNE of the Kerguelin Islands - next stop Cape Town in 2,500 miles!
