Three day forecast issued by The Meteorological Office at 0545GMT on Wednesday 7 May 1997.
General Situation: Ridge of high pressure lies from Cape Town NE to about 10deg S, 10 deg W. This ridge will persist
throughout the period of the forecast. This will keep winds from a SE direction, becoming more easterly as you move N of 20
deg S, especially near to the Greenwich meridian. The wind will also gradually ease as the Doldrums approach at around 5 to
10 deg S.
