General Situation Light winds extend from the equator to 8N north of which moderate to fresh northeasterlies are blowing.
Most of the thunderstorms activity lies between the equator and 8N where winds will be very unreliable, especially near
storms where they may become quite gusty. A further area of showers shows on satellite pictures to the west of 40W
extending as far as 18N.
