Three day weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Office at 0420 UTC on Tuesday 8 July 1997.
Low pressure to the south of Iceland is expected to extend southwards to form a trough lying north/south along to 20W
longitude by Wednesday. A weak centre of low pressure is then expected to develope to the west of Ireland and drift slowly
towards the British Isles. Winds are forecast to start off as southwesterly 20 - 25 knots veering to northwest and decreasing
slowly to 5 - 10 knots during this forecast period.
