Weather forecast for the BT Global Challenge fleet for the next 3 days, issued by The Meteorological Office at 0730 GMT on
Saturday 7th December 1996: Pressure will remain high to the north and low to the south of the yachts route. This will
maintain the gereral westerly airflow. A trough of low pressure currently approaching the area will swing the winds north to
northwesterly during late Saturday intot Sunday, before gradually becoming more west to northwesterly later. No further
significant troughs are expected during this period.
