Tropical cyclone Fergus, located at 32.6S 176.5E at midnight GMT is expected to sweep SE across the race route during the
next day or so - reaching 49.2S 161.3W by midnight GMT Wednesday. This will introduce gale force winds and very high
seas for a time. Pressure will build from the west as the cyclone clears the route by the end of Tuesday.
