Current satellite imagery shows the band of cloud associated with a cold front lying from Canberra across the Tasman Sea to
North Island, with scattered showers to the south, and clear skies to the north. The parent area of low pressure is centred
near 45S 170E, moving away eastwards and filling, allowing an anti-cyclone, currently lying across the Great Australian Bight,
to the Bass Strait, to drift eastwards to be near 43S 160E by 0000GMT on Friday
