Three day Weather Forecast issued by the Meteoroligical Office at 0600 UTC on Wednesday 12 February 1997.
High pressure extends eastwards across the southern Tasman Sea, and is forecast to build as it moves east to be over South
Island by 0000 UTC Saturday. However a band of frontal cloud is evident on satellite imagery of E Australia and the Tasman
Sea from the Sydney area to the north coast of North Island. This is expected to remain active for the period of this forecast
between the Australian coast and 160E.
