3 Day Weather Forecast issured by the Meteorological Office at 0500 UTC on Tuesday 4th March 1997.
A large anticyclone centred to the west of Tasmania will extend a ridge of high pressure across the route. This anticyclone is
then expected to drift eastwards during this forecast period allowing an active trough of low pressure to arrive from the west
on Friday bringing with it heavy rain and strengthening winds.
At this time the yachts report that they are experiencing winds of around 28 knots from the south.
