An anti-cyclone centred near South West Australia will combine with low pressure located between latitudes 50S & 60S,
maintaining near gale or gale force W or WNW winds across the race route. Mean winds may reach 50 knots later on
Thursday/Friday as a developing frontal system sweeps across from the west.
The Fleet is now tacking across strengthening headwinds, with approximately 2,000nm to run to the mid ocean waypoint.
