A very deep depression is passing south of the fleet giving rise to severe west to west-northwest gales which are expected to
persist until about 0900 UTC tomorrow. After that time winds are forecast to decrease slowly, but should remain strong to
gale force for the remainder of this forecast period.
Current reports from the fleet are that they are beating under reduced sail in westerly, 30 knot, winds.
