Three day forecast issued by The Meteorological Office at 0430GMT on Friday 4th April 1997. Yachts are travelling through
an E moving ridge of high pressure. To the W of this high, N to NE winds are freshening ahead of an ENE moving trough of
low pressure as a band of unsettled weather, with poss. of one or two thunderstorms, moves through the yachts during
saturday. In the wake of this trough, SW winds will develop with a high risk of gales and heavy seas during Sunday and into
Monday.
