An area of low pressure centred to the northeast of Newfoundland will move eastwards over the next few days, becoming
established near Iceland around the middle of the week. This will maintain mainly west to southwest winds across the race
route, although a veer to northwest is likely on Wednesday. The strongest winds are expected to be to the north of the area.
