RACE HEADQUARTERS
The BT Global Challenge Race Headquarters will be manned 24 hours a day by a team of 3 Race Officers and the Race Office Manager.

Race Office Manager - Adrian Rayson

Overseeing the Race Office operations is Adrian Rayson. His job of managing the day to day running of the Race Office for the BT Global Challenge will be quite different from the British Steel Challenge 1992/93 where he was a crew member aboard Heath Insured. His recent background is in Logistics and Events Management, but was formerly a sale and purchase shipbroker based in the City of London and Singapore. Latterly he has managed agricultural resourced projects in Africa.

Race Officers
Anne Prees
Liz Botting
Paul White

Anne Prees is a keen dinghy and keelboat sailor. Whilst in the Royal Navy Anne did a long stint as an Air Traffic Controller and then worked as a Coastguard at HM Coastguard Station in Lee-on-Solent. Anne has been a Race Officer before, on the 1989-90 Whitbread Race, so she is well used to standing long watches with only VDUs for company.

Liz Botting is an ex-satellite Engineer and ex-Marketing Communications Manager in the Marine industry who has been sailing since the age of 4. She is a Match Race Umpire and On-water judge, and her umpiring duties have taken her to many overseas regattas, including one in Siberia!.

Paul White has his own company working in marine maintenance. He undertakes sail training, yacht maintenance and deliveries. Paul was a Race Officer during the 1992-93 British Steel Challenge, so he knows what he is up against!.
