Occupation - Professional Yachtsman and General Manager of 'Group 4 PromOean'. 25 years sailing experience, competing in the 1983 Azores and Back Race (1st in class). Racing Experience - The Single handed Transatlantic 1988 (3rd) and the 1989 Round Britain and Ireland Race. During 1992/93 he skippered ''Group 4'' to 2nd place in The British Steel Challenge winning 2 of the 4 legs. Later in 1993 he sailed the same yacht ''Group 4'' on a solo circumnavigation of the world, against prevailing winds and currents and beating Chay Blyths 20 year old record. During 1995, he campaigned a Group 4 supported Mumm 36 racing in the highly competitive field of Grand Prix ''Round the Cans'' racing The Group 4 Mumm was selected through trials to represent Britain in the prestigious Admiral Cup.

Racing Experience - joint owner of 30' ULDB Maverick, designed and built in 1993. European multihull circuit 1984-90, Round Europe, RORC and 3 Peaks racing. Rounded Cape Horn on 60' ULDB Thursdays Child, 70,000 miles offshore/ocean miles.1994/95 as shore manager on BOC race. First sail with OYC during 79 Fastnet Gale, subsequently sailed as mate and relief skipper.
